Grain
After you intentionally under expose your film, take it in and ask them to push process it by a stop or two. Oh wait, what you don’t use film any more! You can achieve almost the same thing using noise. Experiment.
While the above pictures where shot in the studio, this picture was shot outdoors, under the pier at White Rock. Again colour slide film was push processed, which brings out the natural grain of the film.
